The first sprint qualifying session of the year did not go to plan for Oracle Red Bull Racing. In a session that started dry but ended soaking wet, Max Verstappen achieved a fourth position. Teammate Sergio Perez set a sixth time. First position in the Sprint Qualifying went to McLaren driver Lando Norris.
