Valtteri Bottas is the big loser on the Abu Dhabi grid, falling from second to 20th as a result of an engine penalty.

Bottas knew earlier this week already that he would be starting the season finale from the very back of the grid after his W10 suffered an engine failure at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

The Finn, though, still went for it in qualifying, posting the second fastest time behind his Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

But it is Max Verstappen who will instead start P2 on the grid with Bottas P20.

The Ferrari’s are on the second row with Charles Leclerc ahead of Sebastian Vettel.

Alexander Albon and Lando Norris, who won the McLaren qualifying head-to-head on Saturday, are P5 and six respectively.
